Radiance was born from a question that should have had an answer. Between 2020 and 2023, our co-founder's Chartered Accounting and tax advisory practice suffered multiple cyber incidents. Identities were stolen, sensitive information was taken, and client data was targeted. Despite following recognised cyber security practices, the damage was done. When asking where the stolen data had gone, the response was disturbing. It was likely on the dark web, but no one could say where or how to find it.

"That gap became the mission."

To solve it, Brighten brought together intelligence specialists, dark web researchers and senior cyber security engineers to build a capability that could see what others could not. The result was two complementary platforms.

Both are powered by intelligence collected directly from the source, in real time. Not purchased, aggregated or delayed.

Our vision is simple. No organisation should learn about its own breach from a customer, journalist or regulator. Leaders should be able to ask what the dark web knows about their organisation and receive an immediate and accurate answer. This is the answer our founder was told could not be provided.
